Welcome to Rødhouse Studio

Just a few years young studio is located in a facility that has served as a professional recording studio for over 25 years. The studio packs a 26/18 I/O so there are plenty for a little bigger sessions or live sessions as well. The mic closet and the outboard gear/preamps will cover your needs for professional recordings. Rødhouse is both a place to serve client’s needs and a space for our own musical works, so our primary goal is to have a cozy space where you can make yourself at home while keeping the studio up to date professionally. We’re thrilled to be the base camp for your next big project.

CTRL Room

The heart of the studio, CTRL Room connects all the spaces and holds the main workstation with a versatile build. Dark wooden interior with stylish sound absorbing elements, cozy sofa section, adjustable HUE lighting system and comfortable working chairs make this room a perfect environment to work in even with longer projects.

Live Room: Woods/City

This aprox. 100 square meter live room was designed to work either as one big room or as two smaller spaces divided in half. The two sides of the room, which are called Woods & City, both have a unique acoustic character. Woods is covered with wooden elements and is a natural sounding space. City is acoustically more dead with elements like concrete, stone & marble. You can also affect the room acoustics even more with movable acoustic wall elements and adjustable curtains. The live room is equipped with HUE lighting system.

City workstation

City Workstation is perfect for mixing and recording smaller projects. It is equipped with high end Genelec speakers and a 32” Samsung 4K screen on a professional studio desk. This workstation is a fast lane to get your workflow unleashed.

Lobby and kitchen

Lobby

The Lobby serves mainly as the entering space to our quarters of the complex. With a wine cooler / fridge, a Nespresso coffee machine and soda stream for some fizzy water, the lobby is ideal for a short break. In addition the lobby can also be used as an extra recording space, with a connection to the house patch and direct view through windows to the CTRL room and Live room.

Kitchen & other facilities

Our studio complex is equipped with a spacious kitchen including a fridge, microwave oven, stove, water boiler, coffee maker and a good collection of cutlery, plates, cups, glasses. 

You can also find a small laundry room and gear storage in the complex.

The complex consists of three different studios, which with a little pre-negotiation and planning can be merged to work as one unit in case you need the extra space.

Minimum fee for full space: 100€ + VAT 24% (4hours)

Workspace rental (Ctrl room or Studio B)

Minimum fee for workspace: 50€ + VAT 24%

Other prices

Recording engineer: 30€ + VAT24% / hour

Cleaning fee: 30€ + VAT24% / hour (if you managed to leave the place trashed)

Voiceover artist services: beginning from 250€ + VAT24% / project

HOW TO FIND US:

Rødhouse studio is located in the eastern part of Turku, Finland. Just outside the busy city center we are close to everything but still in a quiet-enough neighborhood to make our spot just perfect. Our location is close to all the basic everyday shopping, public transportation stops and is reachable by train from Helsinki. Parking spaces are available and free of charge.
